Terms of Service
Last updated: October 23, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you (the church or person using our service) and The Bulletin Office, Youngstown, Ohio ("we", "us"). By starting a trial or subscribing, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
We produce weekly church bulletins and related materials from the information you send us. Each week you email your details, and we return a print-ready PDF and a reading copy. Basic includes one bulletin a week, Standard includes two bulletins a week (your main service plus one more, such as a Wednesday night service), and Premium includes unlimited bulletins. Bulletins beyond your plan's weekly allowance are optional paid extras on Basic and Standard (see section 3). A "week" means Monday through Sunday, counted by each bulletin's service date. Please send your notes at least 3 days before the service; we aim to return the bulletin within 1 business day so you have it with time to print. Software prepares each bulletin and runs automated proofreading and accuracy checks before it's sent to you. A bulletin that fails a check is fixed before it goes out. Automated checks can't catch everything, so please read each bulletin and reply with any correction you need (see sections 4 and 6).
2. Free trial
New churches get 2 free weekly bulletins. No payment details are needed for the trial unless we tell you otherwise when you sign up. After the trial, service continues only if you choose a paid plan.
3. Plans, billing, and cancellation
- Prices are shown on our website and may change. We'll email you at least 30 days before a price change affects you.
- Paid plans are billed monthly, in advance, through our payment processor. Plans are month to month, with no upfront commitment or long-term contract. We don't store your card details.
- What each plan includes (a "week" is Monday through Sunday, counted by service date; unused bulletins don't carry over to the next week):
- Basic ($19/month): one bulletin a week. Each additional bulletin that week is $7. Same-day rush is $10 per bulletin.
- Standard ($29/month): two bulletins a week, for example your main service plus a Wednesday night service. Each additional bulletin beyond two that week is $5. Same-day rush is $10 per bulletin.
- Premium ($49/month): unlimited bulletins every week, with same-day rush included at no extra charge (see below).
- Extra bulletins (Basic and Standard): bulletins beyond your plan's weekly allowance (for example Holy Week, Christmas Eve, or another special service) are charged per bulletin at your plan's price ($7 on Basic, $5 on Standard), as a one-time payment at checkout on our extras page. Notes for each extra bulletin are due at least 3 days before that service. Your monthly plan doesn't change. Premium has no extra-bulletin charge.
- Same-day rush: if your notes arrive less than 3 days before your service, you can ask for a same-day rush. On Basic and Standard it's $10 per rush bulletin, charged only when you ask for a rush, as a one-time payment at checkout on our rush page. We aim to return a rush bulletin the same day, typically within a few hours when notes arrive by 2 p.m. Eastern, but we can't guarantee it. If we don't return a paid rush the same day, we refund the rush fee. A rush can be added to any bulletin, including an extra bulletin, and is charged separately.
- Premium rush (included): put "RUSH" in your email's subject line. We aim to return it the same day when your notes arrive by 2 p.m. Eastern, and otherwise by the next business day. There's no fee, so there's nothing to refund.
- Changing plans: ask us by email to switch plans. An upgrade can start right away; a downgrade takes effect at the close of the current billing month.
- Cancel anytime by emailing customerservice@thebulletinoffice.com or through the billing link we provide. Your plan ends at the close of the current billing month, and you won't be charged again.
- If a payment fails, we'll let you know and may pause service until it's resolved.
4. Your content and responsibilities
- You keep ownership of everything you send us: text, names, logos, photos, and the content of your bulletins.
- You give us permission to use that content only to make, check, and deliver your bulletins and to provide support.
- You confirm you have the right to send it to us. This includes permission to include people's names on prayer lists and announcements, as your church normally would.
- You approve the final bulletin. Please read it before printing or sharing. We work hard to get it right, but you're responsible for what your church prints and distributes.
5. Song lyrics, Scripture, and images
- We print hymn texts only when they're in the public domain. Other songs are listed by title (and CCLI number if you give it). If your church wants licensed lyrics printed under its own license, your church must add them.
- Scripture text is printed from public-domain translations (King James Version and World English Bible) unless you provide text you're licensed to use.
- We don't copy clip art or images we don't have rights to. Send only logos and images you own or are licensed to use.
6. Mistakes and corrections
If you find an error, reply and we'll send a corrected PDF. If an error caused by us reached your printed bulletin, tell us within 7 days and that week is free (credited or refunded). That's our total responsibility for errors (see section 8).
7. Acceptable use
Don't use the service for anything unlawful, defamatory, or that infringes someone else's rights. We may decline content or end service for misuse, with a refund for any prepaid, unused period.
8. Disclaimers and limit of liability
The service is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
9. Ending the service
You can stop anytime. We may end the service with 30 days' notice, refunding any prepaid, unused period. When service ends, we'll delete your church's files within 30 days unless you ask us to send them to you first.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new date and email active customers about significant changes at least 14 days before they take effect.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States. Mahoning County, Ohio, is the venue for any dispute.
