With Microsoft Publisher retired this October, many church offices are looking for a new way to make the weekly bulletin. With The Bulletin Office, you don’t need any software at all: email us your notes each week and get a finished, print-ready bulletin back.
Send us your last bulletin and we’ll rebuild it as your template for free. If you can still open the Publisher file, save it as a PDF first. If you can’t, a scan or a photo of a printed copy works too.

You keep doing what you already do: gather the week’s details. We do the layout, the formatting, and the double-checking.
Email customerservice@thebulletinoffice.com at least 3 days before your service, whatever day you meet. Write it however you like: a quick list, a forwarded message, or “same as last week except…”.
Our software lays it out in your style and runs it through automated proofreading and accuracy checks. A bulletin that fails a check is fixed before it goes out. If something’s missing, we ask you instead of guessing.
Within 1 business day you get a print-ready PDF plus a reading copy to email or post. Need a change? Reply, and we’ll send a corrected copy.
Any service day works. Send your notes at least 3 days before your service. Your print-ready bulletin comes back within 1 business day, so you have it with time to print.
Running late? Ask for a same-day rush ($10, included on Premium). Extra service this week? Order an extra bulletin ($7 on Basic, $5 on Standard, included on Premium).
Each is set up once with your church’s name, service times, staff, colors, and hymnal numbers. After that, only the weekly details change.

Public-domain hymns (in the U.S., generally those published before 1931, which covers most classic hymns) can be printed in full. Newer and licensed worship songs are listed by title and CCLI song number only. We don’t print their lyrics, even if your church has a license. If your church holds a CCLI license and wants lyrics printed, that copying is under your license, so your office should add them.
Your prayer list is used for one thing: printing your bulletin. We don’t sell it, share it, or use it for marketing. It’s processed by our automated systems, and the owner looks at it only when needed for support or a correction. Tell us if names should be first-name-only or left off the emailed copy, and we’ll do that every week. When you cancel, we delete your church’s files within 30 days, or sooner if you ask. See our Privacy Policy.
Reply to the email with the fix, and we’ll send a corrected PDF. If a mistake was ours and it reached your printed bulletin, tell us. That week is free.
Yes. Plans are month to month, with no contract and no setup fee. Cancel by email whenever you like; you won’t be charged again. You can also cancel yourself, add or change a card, or see your invoices at Manage my plan: enter the email you signed up with and we’ll send you a secure login link. If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the month you’ve paid for.
At least 3 days before your service, whatever day you meet. Your print-ready bulletin comes back within 1 business day, so you have it with time to print. Sunday service? Send by Thursday. Wednesday night? Send by Sunday.
Yes. Standard ($39/month) covers two bulletins a week: your main service plus one more, like Wednesday night. On Basic, the second bulletin is $7 that week, and Premium covers every service. Send each service’s notes at least 3 days ahead. For a Wednesday night service, that’s by Sunday.
Bulletins beyond your plan’s weekly allowance are paid once, per bulletin, and your monthly plan doesn’t change. Holy Week with seven services? On Basic that’s 6 extra bulletins at $7, $42. On Standard it’s 5 extras at $5, $25. On Premium they’re all included. Send the notes for each one at least 3 days before that service. Order extra bulletins.
If your notes are coming in less than 3 days before your service, ask for a same-day rush on our rush page, or put “RUSH” in your email’s subject line. We aim to send a rush bulletin back the same day, typically within a few hours when your notes arrive by 2 p.m. Eastern. On Basic and Standard it’s $10 per rush bulletin, paid as a one-time charge at checkout, and if we don’t get it to you the same day, we refund the rush fee. On Premium, rush is included at no charge: just put “RUSH” in the subject line. Premium rush notes that arrive after 2 p.m. Eastern come back the next business day. Without a rush request, late notes are handled in the usual order. Request a same-day rush.
Yes. Software reads your notes, builds the bulletin, and runs automated proofreading and accuracy checks on every one. A bulletin that fails a check is fixed before it goes back to you. If something in your email is unclear, we ask instead of guessing, and you can reply to any bulletin to request a correction.
Just what’s new: sermon title, readings, hymns (numbers are fine), announcements, prayer list changes, and the week’s calendar. Everything else carries over from last week.
Yes. If you can still open the file in Publisher, save it as a PDF (File > Save As, then choose PDF) and email it to us. If you can’t open it anymore, send us any past PDF of your bulletin, or a scan or clear photo of a printed copy, and we’ll rebuild it in the closest of our styles. PDFs are quickest; scans and photos take a little longer. You don’t need Publisher or any other software after that: you just email your notes each week. Get your free template.
Usually, yes. Send us a recent bulletin and we’ll match its order of worship and details in the closest of our styles. We don’t copy clip art or images we don’t have rights to. If you send us your own logo, we’ll use it.
